Let the Journey Begin!

Welcome to Meadow Restored! This is the first of many posts detailing my plan to transform a large flower bed located in a small town in Iowa. Bitter cold, painted in dull, muddy March tones, Iowa. It’s the first of many projects, but it’s a feat nonetheless.

Join me as I explore the costs, the time, and the effort required to take a piece of land and turn it into a meadow full of native wildflowers and nostalgic fauna.

I’m eager for Spring to arrive, but until then, I have lots of details to iron out for this project to be successful. Expect to see posts detailing the benefits of a lawn transformed, the harmful effects of pesticides and lawn care in general, and once the promised warmth of Spring arrives, expect many updates on the main project.

Welcome to a conservation focused landscaping blog run by a concerned, yet hopeful millennial who sees the nature around him and yearns to restore it to its former glory. I’m so happy you’re here.
